Let Us Pray

Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Psalm 127:1
For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.
Isa. 56:7
“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”
Joshua 3:5
What is Lent? The English word Lent is a shortened form of Old English Len(c)ten, which means “spring.” In early Christianity, the term was used to refer to the 40th day before Easter. Many Christians celebrate Lent for different reasons. Traditionally, this religious observance covered a period of 7 weeks before Easter Sunday, beginning on Ash Wednesday and continuing for 40 days until Easter Sunday.
Lent prepares the believer to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ through prayer, repentance, atonement, and self-denial. At Light of the World, our aim is to become more like Jesus.
Think about something you can give up during this time that will help you to remain focused on Christ.
During this season of Lent (2/26-4/9), we’re asking the entire LOW Family to join us in prayer for the following:
Pray that we reach more people than ever before.
Pray for more leaders and volunteers.
Pray for an increase in giving.
Pray for favor and open doors.
Pray for life changing testimonies.
Pray for wisdom and direction.
Pray for passionate people.
