Father/Son Fishing Trip

Light of the World’s Father/Son Fishing Trip is this Saturday, June 29th! We’ll be heading to Lake Isabella (10174 Loveland Madeira Rd.). You don’t have to be a father or have a father to attend. This is an opportunity for all of our men, young men and boys to fellowship with each other.

If you want to ride on the van, meet at the church @8:45am. If you want to meet us there, meet at the lake @9:30am. Hope to see you there!

Fast Forward

About 9 months ago, we devoted an entire month to prayer and fasting as a church, asking God for direction for our lives and our community. In order to finish the year strong, we have decided to call another “Fast Forward,” again devoting time to pray, fast and seek God’s guidance for Light of the World.

There are a lot of great starters, but more poor finishers. As a church, we’re believing our latter days will be greater than our former days (Haggai 2:9)
  • Pray daily for at least 10 minutes
  • Follow along with the daily prayer and reading assignments (download the app or follow along on social media)
  • Abstain from the following: bread, fried foods, added sugar (candy, sweets, soda, etc.), caffeine, alcohol, drugs, all pornographic materials
  • Commit to not missing a Sunday service (with the exception of work)
  • Commit to 100% participation in tithing
  • Commit to some form of exercise at least once a week

Get Your Acts to Church

We’re kicking off a new series this weekend focusing on how the church was formed and fueled by the Holy Spirit to reach “all Judea and Samaria, and the end of the earth.” The book of Acts is simply about ordinary people being used by an extraordinary God to change the world. If you’re ready to turn the city upside down, then “Get your Acts to Church” this Sunday at 10:30am.

You Make Me Sick

God made a great investment in our bodies. It’s the only one we get. So in turn it’s only right that we manage it properly. What we do with our bodies sets the tone for everything else—mentally, emotionally, spiritually and even financially. We want you to start off the new year right by joining us for our latest sermon series, You Make Me Sick, as we push you to be a healthier, better you.

Sermons this month include: I’m So Emojinal, The Hunger Games, and Under Armor

Wear your gym shoes as we get you started on becoming your best you!

Invite five people to kick off the new year by joining you for church this Sunday at 10:30am (3220 Central Parkway). One will show up! It’ll work if you work it! #getlow #bethelight.

First 48

The television show, the First 48, takes viewers behind the scenes of real-life investigations as it follows homicide detectives in the critical first 48 hours of murder investigations. In other words, for them, the first two days following a crime are critical!

In similar fashion, we believe the first two months of the year are also critical. As a church, we’re believing the first 48 days of 2018 will position us for better health and greater wealth. Sometimes how you start is how you finish!

The First 48 Fast (Jan. 1-Feb. 17)
  • Pray daily for at least 10 minutes
  • Read daily from One Year Bible (you can find this on the youversion bible app, or https://www.bible.com/reading-plans/60-the-one-year-bible)
  • Read The Daniel Plan by Rick Warren
  • No food, only water, after 9pm
  • Abstain from the following: beef, chicken, pork, caffeine, candy, drugs, alcohol, all pornographic materials

  • 100% participation in tithing

Do You Believe in Miracles?

He turned water into wine, calmed a storm, made a blind man see, a crippled man walk again. Yet we often struggle to believe God can bring peace to the chaos in our own lives. What would it take for you to believe the impossible is possible? A miracle?

Invite a friend and join us this Sunday @10:30am (3220 Central Parkway) for what we’re believing will be a #monthofmiracles.

Special Guests: The University of Cincinnati AACRC Choir

Meet N Greet

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer.”
Acts 2:42

Church is about more than just a couple of songs, a message and everyone going their separate ways. It’s about community, fellowship and growing together spiritually.

We want you to join us this Sunday @10:30am as we continue in our awesome series, #alternativefacts. Immediately following service we’re having a Meet N Greet. Our Meet N Greets provide an opportunity for you to meet some of your other LOW Family members, sign up for a ministry, and of course…eat.

Invite five people to join you this weekend for church. One will show up! It’ll work if you work it! #getlow #bethelight

TRUNK OR TREAT

Join us this Saturday from 5pm-7pm for Trunk or Treat. Trunk or Treat is a family friendly event where kids go from car trunk to car trunk and get candy. We will have bounce houses, food and candy for the kids, as well as fun activities for the whole family.

Take the Plunge!

Never been baptized? Been baptized, but it didn’t really mean anything to you at the time or it’s been so long you don’t quite remember?

The decision to get baptized is one of the most important decisions you can make, next to your decision to follow Christ. It’s an outward expression of your inward commitment. So, if you’re ready to “go public” with your decision, we’d love to celebrate with you!

To kick off the launch of our Bible Study, we’ll be baptizing on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd! If you’re ready to take the plunge, let us know by e-mailing us here so we can give you the appropriate instructions. We’ll even baptize people on the spot as the Spirit moves. Get ready for a mighty move of God!
